Are you getting excited for me to not write on my blog every day?! Because I am! Briefly considered giving myself an early Christmas present by declaring the year of blogging over, but, alas, we trudge onward into what’s sure to be an entirely anti climatic finish on Dec 31.

In other news, today was a wonderful Christmas Eve with the family. We went to church where we enjoyed just one hour (instead of the usual 3) and lots of musical numbers instead of talks. Pretty nice.

Then we went to Nana and Papa’s house for fun with all the cousins and aunts and uncles. Early dinner of yummy tamales, pass around gifts, and enough fourth advent treats and goodies to keep me fat until next year. Papa also read the story of the nativity while the kids acted it out.

When we got home the kids opened their new matching Christmas jammies and we read scriptures and Christmas stories together for bedtime.

When they were settled in bed we played Santa and have mostly just enjoyed our quiet, peaceful, cozy home. Feeling so incredibly blessed for the gift of our Savior and a chance to celebrate it together.
