I really enjoy working hard and setting goals and reaching forward and I think a really important part of that is knowing when to sit down and enjoy. On my own, as a couple, and as a family we’ve worked hard this past week or two–and especially the past couple days–to get our home ready for Christmas. We’ve made and chosen gifts and wrapped them up and decorated and cleaned and done so many small things to get everything ready so that we can really just sit back and enjoy Christmas. And you know what? I think we’ve done everything we needed and wanted to do. So today we relaxed and sat around decorating Christmas sugar cookies together and for all of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we can just relax and enjoy and that quiet, non-rushed time together is perhaps the gift I’m looking forward to most of all and what I wish for all of you this Christmas.
