  • Complaining
  • Choosing good children’s books
  • Spending a long time in the shower
  • Noticing things that need to be cleaned
  • Making lists of things that need to be cleaned
  • Getting other people to clean things
  • Coming up with excuses for ice cream
  • Eating too many treats
  • Hiding upcoming activities from the kids until we’re about to actually do them
  • Shopping at Target
  • Sewing
  • Inventing new ways to make myself tired

    Things you’re good at
    – writing titles to blog posts
    – wry sense of humor
    – simple, clean design
    – simple, clean home decorating
    – writing poems
    – writing sewing books
    – marketing on Instagram
    – raising chill kids
    – learning things like quilting and knitting
    – naming kitties
    – walks with kids in strollers
    – taking pictures
    – sewing perfectly straight top stitching
    – living far away from your PNW roots but still writing about & acknowledging your roots in lots of little ways like tying Christmas trees to toy trucks at Christmas time
