It was a one story house in the perfect pink with white shutters and pots of yellow daisies by the door. It was always called a one story, but really it had a main floor with an entryway, living room, small kitchen, breakfast nook, and a single bedroom in the back. And up a single ladder, permanently affixed to the wall on the right, was a cozy loft with piles of pillows and shelves of books that covered the whole front half of the house and which you could peek out from through the porthole window up there and look out at the happy little street below.
