This evening once the kids were in bed we finally pulled out all the artwork and keepsakes and framed photos and started hanging them on the walls. We’ve lived in our new house for a few months now, so I was surprised what a difference it made when we started adding some of our special things around the house. It already felt like home, but hanging pictures and artwork made it feel cozy and gave the house life. We stayed up late unwrapping things we haven’t seen since our first move several years ago and finding places for them around the house. We still have a long way to go, but it felt good tonight to finally commit and nail some holes in the walls.
