Welp, this evening I finally made the plunge and bought supplies for the quiet page kits. (eeeek) I’ve decided to go with what I mentioned yesterday, which is selling kits for single quiet pages and then I’ll offer a deal when someone buys the whole bundle. I’m excited about it and, if I’m being honest, part of me is just really excited to finally have some work I like to do again. Plus, packaging up kits is basically my dream job, so… score. Now hopefully they’ll actually sell. Ha! I’m not too worried about it though. I mean, of course I hope this whole endeavor is successful, but I’m not in a rush and there’s a lot of other stuff going on right now too like, ya know, buying a house next week and having a baby next month. More than I want to make a ton of money off of my brilliant designs, what I really want out of this whole small business thing is some work I like doing that makes other people happy and gives them something to do that they like too.

Anyway, I purchased all of the supplies for the kits tonight, so packages should start arriving soon and that’ll be fun. I still need to tweak and update the patterns and instructions and get those all ready for printing. Still waiting to hear back from my lawyer on copyright language to keep my stuff protected. Just sent the form back in today to get moving on having the lawyer officially form the LLC for me and then I can move on to setting up the business bank account and link that to my shop payment account. Kits need to be photographed. Shop listings need to be made and shipping profiles calculated and input. Still need to update this site to be a static homepage with links and tabs to the shop/blog/etc. and attach my official URL to it, which includes upgrading from the free version of wordpress. All in all, I feel like I’m getting closer, but obviously there’s still some stuff to do.
