Saturday is a special day it’s the day we get ready for Sunday

Mar 11, 2017

Bryan had work this morning, so I was home with the kids. Last Saturday I meant to clean up some stuff around the house, but for some reason (I forget why) I didn’t and then we spent most of Sunday morning hurrying around cleaning up. It wasn’t the most peaceful or reverent. So this morning I made a list of all the things I wanted to get cleaned up (all of them super minor, but it was a long list) and then we got going.

We did a bunch of loads of laundry and I folded them while Olivia helped out putting a lot of it away. I put the big bookshelf back in order after its regular disheveled maiming by the children. I cleaned up the piles of felt and fabric and other random stuff on my sewing table. We got a lot done and still have a lot to do, but Bryan’s home now and ready to help do all the things I didn’t feel up to doing.

I haven’t left the house yet today, but I’m feeling extra grateful for this time to clean up and get things done. Here’s to productive Saturdays and (hopefully) a more peaceful Sunday tomorrow.

Amen to Saturday time to restore order out of chaos. Except, since we’re almost kind of moving, I made more chaos than order yesterday. Can’t wait till it’s done! Big girl kudos to Olivia for helping with the laundry!!
