As I was writing up my list last night of things I wanted to get done today, I thought of several possibilities, but left almost all of them off. Since school was out for the day, I wanted to make sure to spend some good time with the kids doing fun things, not just hanging around the house like I so often do lately. So now, at the end of the day, there’s a big pile of clean laundry on the bed that could have been folded and a blog post that could have been written sooner and a lot of other things I was leaning toward that remain un-finished.
But I do have two kids asleep in their beds after a morning of playing at the mall and an afternoon spent at the park with friends and an evening spent together as a family. So while I type this Bryan’s moving the laundry pile to a clean blanket on the floor and I’m considering it a day well spent.
I really love this post. I love your idea of making the lists and I have been loving it. But YES to what you said here. Sometimes I even write those things, snuggle and read to the kids, play with the kids, onto my list because they are definitely more important. ❤
